You are warmly invited to this year’s “Hemodialysis Access Annual Symposium: 2024 Keeping Pace with the Times.” The Taoyuan session will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Continuing last year’s enthusiastic participation and in-depth discussion, this year’s event moves to the Fullon Hotel Taoyuan, bringing together leading experts in hemodialysis and related fields to discuss practical clinical experience and heartwarming stories of care.
At this symposium you will have the chance to hear experts from different backgrounds share their insights:
- Prof. Jui-Hsiang Lin, Chief of Nephrology, De Ren Hospital / Taoyuan Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare will present “How Vitamin K Can Improve Vascular Disease in Hemodialysis Patients”, explaining in detail the effects of vitamin K on blood vessels.
- Yi-Lien Wu, Chief Operating Officer of the Taiwan Kidney Disease Prevention Foundation and kidney-disease educator will share “A Relay of Love and Health: The Moving Chapters of the Kidney Disease Prevention Foundation”, introducing the Foundation and its many public-benefit activities (Kidney Strength School, Feng Shen Canteen, Wise Kidney Lectures, the Swinging Tribe in remote areas, and more).
- Prof. Mei-Ching Yu, Chief of Pediatric Nephrology, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou will speak on “A Look into Heartwarming Stories of Children on Dialysis”, helping you understand the treatment journey of children with kidney disease.
- Te-Sheng Chen, physical therapist, Quanxin Da’an Clinic, speaking from personal experience, will share his journey from peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis to kidney transplantation, along with key notes on protecting the kidneys and exercise and health for kidney protection.
- Dr. Ta-Wei Su, Hemodialysis Access Care Team, physician / CEO will talk about the team’s philosophy and characteristics, so that together we can raise the quality of care.
